Sales of the Gatherings boxes have generated a total of $50,000 to split evenly between our two chosen organizations: the Artist Trust in Washington State and the Idaho Commission for the Arts for relief funding for creatives.

I'm overwhelmed with the generosity of everyone who's participated in this project. We've all been upside-down in some manner during this pandemic and longed for connection. Gatherings offered us community in the midst of this. It's the hope of all who participated that we can offer encouragement and support to others who keep the arts alive and sustain us.
My deepest thanks to all,
Lynda
Pico Iyer wrote this note that he included in a Gatherings box.
I couldn't say it any better.
"Artists are the deepest and most reliable friends we have; they give us heart and conscience and the wings to fly, regardless of our circumstances. They’re never too busy to speak to us, they seldom ask for too much in return, and they bring us to our best -- our most mysterious -- selves, touching the places life too seldom reaches. When I think of what I most wish to support, I think of holy places and of artists, because there’s little difference between them. They inspire us, they steady us, they awaken what is dormant in us – and transcendent – and remind us of what lies beyond us and beyond the reach of time. The gift is so great, how can I not long to offer something in return?"
